Bio

Dr. Sefein has a unique blend of training and experience.  He graduated from Cairo University Medical School in Egypt then received his training in Cardiology and Critical Care in Egypt.  For eight years he practiced as a cardiologist intensivist in perioperative management of adult cardiac surgery specialty in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Sefein joined LHSC in 2013 at CSRU for two years as a Clinical Fellow.  After five years of Anesthesia residency and a full year of Cardiac Anesthesia fellowship training at Western University, he became a Fellow of the Royal Collage of Physician of Canada and licensed Cardiac Anesthesiologist as well as National Board of Echocardiography Advanced Perioperative TEE certification. 

Dr. Sefein has been appointed as Assistant Professor in Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine Department and Internal Medicine Department/Critical Care Division.
